JPEGMAFIA @ Franklin Music Hall on September 13th

Earlier this week, rapper, singer, and producer JPEGMAFIA announced he would be taking the road for a tour in 2024, coming to Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia on September 13th.

JPEGMAFIA began his music career under the stage name Devon Hendrix, releasing five full studio albums before the release of Black Ben Carson in 2016 which was his debut studio album under the name JPEGMAFIA. The main change in his music during this period was a shift towards heavier production and more aggressive sounds/vocals, as opposed to melodic ballads and slower tracks.

Last year, in collaboration with rapper Danny Brown, JPEGMAFIA released the studio album Scaring The Hoes. The album would be praised for the eccentricity both Brown and JPEGMAFIA brought to each track, as well as the incredibly complex and impressive industrial beats on the album, all produced by JPEGMAFIA. The album was rightfully awarded a spot in the best albums of 2023.

The upcoming tour will be in support of JPEGMAFIA’s upcoming album release. While he has not talked about the album in great detail to his audience, he has confirmed it will be coming soon, and include features from other popular rappers including Denzel Curry. There is tremendous excitement and anticipation around this upcoming release.
