Sepultura has announced the North American leg of their Celebrating Life Through Death farewell tour. The tour includes a stop at Los Angeles’ The Novo on Thursday, September 26.
Brazilian thrash metal band are hitting the road one last time and will be joined by a group of supporting artists such as Obituary, Agnostic Font and Claustrofobia. The North American leg of the tour kicks off on September 17 in Chicago and runs through October 12 in New York City. The 21-date tour hits major cities such as Seattle, Toronto, Dallas, and more. Following the North American trek, Sepultura will head to Europe accompanied by Jinjer, Obituary and Jesus Piece.
“We are so excited to announce the North American concerts of the ‘Celebrating Life Through Death’ farewell tour,” said Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser. “We are having a blast doing these shows and celebrating 40 years of history, and now it is your turn! In December 2023, Sepultura announced that they will embark on an 18-month tour stating it will be their final tour as they plan to disband in 2025. The Celebrating Life Through Death Tour also marks the band’s 40th anniversary, fans can expect the tour to include a career-spanning set that will include the group’s major hits. Ahead of the farewell tour, drummer Eloy Casagrande left the band to join Slipknot. To date, the band has released 15 studio albums with the last being 2020’s Quadra.
