Earlier this week, indie singer-songwriter Beabadoobee announced that she will be hitting the road for the This is How Tomorrow Moves tour, which will be kicked off in Philadelphia at The Met on September 8th.
Beabadoobee’s first ever release in 2017, her single “Coffee”, would quickly find her success, with the song becoming a viral TikTok sound. Her debut studio album release would not come for another three years, but would be met by the strong fan base Beabadoobee had built through the release of her previous singles. Fake it Flowers incorporated indie, lo-fi, and alternative sounds into one highly anticipated and acclaimed album.
Her second studio album, Beatopia, was released in 2022, and quickly became her highest charting album, with hits off the album including “The Perfect Pair” and “Talk.” 2023 would also be a big year for Beabadoobee, with the release of two major hit songs, “Glue Song” and “The Way Things Go.” Both songs combined gentle vocals and instrumentals to create comforting songs that would take over not only the music charts, but social media as well, specifically TikTok.
The tour is in support of the upcoming release of Beabadoobee’s third studio album, releasing in full on August 16th, This is How Tomorrow Moves. She released a single off of the upcoming album, “Take A Bite”, earlier this month, previewing a more soft-rock sound to the upcoming release than her previous, more pop-heavy releases. An additional single, “Coming Home,” released yesterday, so make sure to give it a listen and keep an eye out for more.
The tour will be opened by American indie-pop duo Hovvdy, whose music will perfectly accompany that of Beabadoobee. Pre-sale for the tour just started, so make sure to get your tickets soon! You can get them HERE
