English indie rockers Glass Animals have announced thee Tour of Earth World Tour in support of their upcoming album, I Love You So F***ing Much! They will be making a stop in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on September 11.
Glass Animals are best know for their smash hit “Heat Waves” which rose in popularity in 2021 after going viral on TikTok. The band’s roots date back to 2010 when lead vocalist Dave Bayley, guitarist Drew MacFarlane, bassist Edmund Irvin-Singer, and drummer Joe Seaward met at St. Edwards School in Oxford, England. The group spent their early years releasing a number of somewhat successful EPs that would allow them to play South by Southwest and tour the US in 2014. They would release their debut studio album, Zaba, in June 2014.
Glass Animals would follow the success of their debut with their sophomore LP, How to Be a Human Being, in 2016. The album produced single, “Life Itself,” which charted at number 14 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The band’s third album, Dreamland, arrived in August 2020 with “Heat Waves” charting at number one on the Billboard 200 after a historic 59 week chart climb, finally reaching the position in March 2022.
