The Black Keys are heading out on the International Players Tour. The upcoming fall tour features a stop at Inglewood’s Kia Forum on Friday, September 27 with special guests The Head and The Heart and Jon Muq.
In support of their latest release Ohio Players, The Black Keys are embarking on an international tour. The International Players Tour kicks off on April 27 in Manchester, UK and is set to conclude on November 12 in Detroit, MI. The North American leg of the tour officially begins on September 17 in Tulsa, OK with 31-dates across the US and Canada. The Black Keys will visit major cities such as Dallas, Seattle, Boston, Chicago, and more. SoCal fans can also head to Palm Springs to see The Black Keys live on Saturday, September 28 at the Acrisure Arena following the major show in Inglewood on Friday, September 27 at the Kia Forum. Special guests Circa Waves will accompany the band this spring during the European leg of the tour while The Head and The Heart will be the main support on the North American leg of the tour.
The band is celebrating the release of their 12th studio album, Ohio Players, released on April 5 via Easy Eye Sound and Nonesuch Records. The record follows 2022’s Dropout Boogie. The new album includes lead single “Beautiful People (Stay High)” and the cover of William Bell’s “I Forgot To Be Your Lover.” Guests musicians include Beck, Juicy J, Lil Noid, and Noel Gallagher. Just days after its release, the record has already received generally positive reviews.
Five-time Grammy-winning band The Black Keys is composed of a two-man blues-rock group from Akron, Ohio which formed in 2001, consisting of singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. They released their debut album, The Big Come Up, in 2002, followed by Thickfreakness in 2003, and Rubber Factory in 2004. One of their trademarks is their preference for simple, lo-fi recording techniques. They refuse to use big-name studios, and do most recording, producing, and mixing themselves. The duo has received increasingly commercial success over the years for their energetic live performances and well mixed sound that ranges throughout all different kinds of rock including blues rock, garage rock, indie rock, psychedelic rock, and more.
