Amyl and The Sniffers are heading on the road this summer with a headlining tour! The tour includes two-nights at the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15.
The Australian punk rock band will perform nine headlining shows across the United States with special guest Lambrini Girls. Amyl and The Sniffers kick off their headlining tour on July 20 in Jersey City, NJ and have two final shows on August 14 and 15 in Los Angeles, CA. The band will also stop at cities such as Detroit, Louisville, Indianapolis, Buffalo, and more.
Among the summer tour, Amyl and The Sniffers will also open a few shows for Foo Fighters including their Los Angeles show at the BMO Stadium on August 9. The Australian band will join Foo Fighters in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia and will also be supporting Sleater-Kinney in Portland.
Amyl and The Sniffers is vocalist Amy Taylor, guitarist Dec Martens, bassist Gus Romer, and drummer Bryce Wilson. The band formed in Melbourne in 2016, releasing two EPs before their international debut with 2018’s The Great Escape. In May 2019 the group released their first self-titled studio album via Rough Trade Records and ATO Records. The album won an ARIA Award for Best Rock Album. The following year, the band recorded their sophomore album, Comfort To Me, influenced by old-school and heavier rock. The album was met with overwhelming critical acclaim and debuted at No. 2 in the ARIA Album Charts, No. 21 in the UK Album Charts, No. 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, and No. 18 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart.
Amyl and The Sniffers not only has captivated a massive audience but also caught the eye of various renowned artists. The band has opened for major bands such as Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Jane’s Addiction. The Smashing Pumpkins’ own Billy Corgan has praised the band for their authentic sound.
