The Gaslight Anthem is coming to Philly! The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2006. The band is composed of members Brian Fallon (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Alex Rosamilia (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Levine (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion). The band got their start in 2007 with the release of their debut album Sink or Swim. They’ve had their most mainstream success with the release of the lead single “45” for their fourth studio album Handwritten. “45” peaked at #1 on the UK Rock & Metal Chart and #15 on Billboard’s US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
After announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2015 and reuniting in 2018 for a string of shows to disband again, the band reunited to “full time status” in March 2022. This reunion brought the making of their sixth studio album, History Books, which was released in October 2023. To celebrate this new album The Gaslight Anthem is heading out on their History Books Tour, touring Europe March-July and then hitting North America from July to September.
