Sunny Day Real Estate at Theatre of the Living Arts on May 9th & 10th

Sunny Day Real Estate is coming to Philly! Sunny Day Real Estate is an emo band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1992. The band currently consists of founding members Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitar), Dan Hoerner (guitar) and William Goldsmith (drums), alongside Greg Suran (guitar), who originally played with the band between 2000 and 2001, and Chris Jordan (bass), who joined the band in 2022. Sunny Day Real Estate is one of the founding bands of the Midwest Emo scene and genre, despite not being from the midwest. The band released their debut album Diary in 1994 and broke up shortly after the release of their second album LP2. They rebanded in 1997 and recorded two more studio albums, but broke up again in 2001. They then reunited in 2009, but were inactive again by 2013. As of January 2022, the band has reunited once again, releasing a new single “Novum Vetus” this past January. They are heading out on their Diary 30th Anniversary Tour from March to October, stopping in Philly May 9th and 10th at the Theatre of the Living Arts. See them before they have a fourth break up!
