Caroline Rose at Union Transfer on April 12th

Caroline Rose

Caroline Rose is coming to Philly! Caroline Rose is an American singer-songwriter from New York. Their musical journey began with a traditional folk sound, but they quickly evolved, embracing a more diverse range of influences and experimenting with different genres and styles. They gained widespread acclaim with her third studio album Loner released in 2018. With their follow-up album, “Superstar,” released in 2020, Rose continued to push the boundaries of their sound, exploring themes of fame, identity, and self-discovery. Rose made their television debut with this album, performing “Feel The Way I Want” on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Rose’s fifth and most recent studio album, The Art of Forgetting, was released March 24th, 2023 and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Recording Package. The New York Times called the first single off the album, “Love / Lover / Friend”, one of the best songs of 2023, “In a flurry of plucked and orchestral strings, Caroline Rose affirms their love by ruling out other possibilities, then basks in wordless choral ecstasy.” Rose is celebrating this new album with a tour across North America, making a stop in Philly at Union Transfer on April 12th.
