London based alternative rock band, Cage the Elephant, have announced the Neon Pill Tour in support of their upcoming album of the same name! They will be making a stop in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on July 2.
Cage the Elephant formed in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2006. They consist of lead vocalist Matt Schultz, older brother and rhythm guitarist Brad Schultz, bassist Daniel Tichenor, drummer Jared Champion, lead guitarist Nick Bockrath, and keyboardist Matthan Minster. The band’s debut self-titled album released in 2008 and spawned successful singles such as “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” and “Back Against the Wall.”
The group would follow-up the break-out success of their debut with 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday, an album that debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 and earned them a spot on a number of year end lists. The group’s third album proved to be their biggest and what they are best known for today. Melophobia, released in 2013, produced smash hits, “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Come a Little Closer.” The album has been certified platinum and continues to delight fans a decade after its release.
Cage the Elephants has since released two additional studio albums and are gearing up to drop their sixth LP, Neon Pill, in May. You won’t want to miss an electrifying performance from the band when they take the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on July 2! Tickets are available here
