Blink-182 is coming to Philly! The pop-punk powerhouse was formed in 1992 in Poway, California, and is comprised of guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Travis Barker. The band entered the mainstream music scene with their third and fourth albums Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, released in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Singles “All the Small Things” and “What’s My Age Again?” became radio and MTV staples.
Despite internal tensions and a brief hiatus in the mid-2000s, Blink-182 reunited in 2009 and continued to produce music that resonated with both old and new fans. Their albums Neighborhoods and California showcased their enduring ability to evolve while staying true to their signature sound. Blink-182 is known for their lyrics about relationships, maturity, and the turmoils of adolescence. Their simple arrangements make them a staple of the pop punk scene.
Blink-182 is still actively releasing music, releasing their ninth studio album One More Time… on October 20th, 2023. They are heading out on tour, starting in South America and heading to Mexico, then to the U.S. and Canada, ending in Europe and the U.K. They will make their Philly stop at the Wells Fargo Center on July 26th at 7:00 pm.
