Vampire Weekend at Moody Amphitheater on April 8

To celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, Only God Was Above Us, alternative-rock band, Vampire Weekend, will perform a special show in Austin, TX, on April 8th. The band will take the stage at the Moody Amphitheater, and begin their set at noon, coinciding with the total solar eclipse that day around 1:30 p.m.

Vampire Weekend’s new album, Only God Was Above Us, is the band’s first full-length album since 2019. According to a press release, lead singer Ezra Koenig crafted the majority of the lyrics throughout 2019 and 2020, with the band recording the album in the band’s hometown of New York, as well as across the globe in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. Fans can expect to hear the band at their grittiest and most melodic in Only God Was Above Us as they explore themes of 20th-century New York City aesthetically and sonically.
