Hardcore label, Flatspot Records, announced last week that the label will be hosting an official SXSW 2024 showcase in Austin, TX, on March 16th. The showcase will be held at Mohawk at the venue’s outdoor stage at 7 p.m. Taking the stage are several Flatspot acts such as hardcore-punk bands Scowl, End It, Buggin, and more.
On-the-rise band, Scowl, will headline the SXSW 2024 show. Described as ‘alternative meets hardcore-punk,’ the Santa Cruz-based band had a phenomenal 2023 with the release of their EP Psychic Dance making many ‘best of’ lists from Revolver, Stereogum, Variety, NME, and more. Supporting Scowl on the line-up are Baltimore hardcore standouts, End It, Flatspot Records’ latest signing, Life’s Question, and Chicago’s hardcore finest, Buggin and Kharma. The show will also feature a rare performance from Florida metallic hardcore band, Day By Day.
