Band brings mind dazzling tunes
Death metal band Necrowretch has been raising havoc since 2008 and earlier this month the band released the album Swords of Dajjal. Although there are only eight tracks, each song is filled with face-smacking instrumentation and heart-jolting vocal performances. Swords of Dajjal just proves how much death metal has grown in today’s music scene.
Starting things off is “Ksar Al-Kufar.” What is fantastic about this track is N. Destroyer and his drums, bringing the feeling of unwanted danger while the rest of the band continues to perform a simple musical tempo. The drum beats on “Ksar AI-Kufar” are fast-paced, which compliments the lingering insanity.
“Dii Mauri” is a heart-stopping composition that shows how powerful Vlad is as a vocalist. While listening, the singer can be heard belting out the lyrics with his low and dominant voice. The best part on “Dii Mauri” is how Vlad lightly screams, each shriek bringing a feeling of becoming unstable, which contributes to the dark theme on this piece.
“Numidian Knowledge” is a heavier track, the static heavy guitar playing shakes the background with vein-jolting riffs. Throughout the whole thing, every guitar note sizzles the air with hair-raising noise that can cause some people to headbang while the guitar blares from their headphones.
“Total Obliteration” ends things with a bang thanks to the fast-paced instrumentation and vocal performance. Necrowretch has kicked things up with wild guitar playing that blends with the rapid drums. Also, the vocal performance is solid on “Total Obliteration” as the vocalist powerfully yells out the lyrics.
Swords of Dajjal is a killer album that shows how musically serious Necrowretch are with their band. The music just proves how much Necrowretch enjoys creating amazing songs.
