Following a successful run last summer, shock-rock artists Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper will bring their Freaks on Parade Tour across the U.S. this summer. The co-headlining tour will feature industrial metal band Ministry and alternative rock act Filter as special guests. While on tour, the bands will stop in Austin, TX, on September 14th at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at 5 p.m.
Both Zombie and Cooper are prominent figures in the rock and horror scenes, with Zombie being heavily influenced by Cooper’s theatrical stage performances and shock rock style. The two artists began working together in the early 1990s when Zombie remixed Cooper’s song, “Feed My Frankenstein” for the soundtrack of the 1992 film, Wayne’s World. The collaboration helped introduce Cooper’s music to a new generation of fans who were drawn to Zombie’s remix of the classic track. Since then, the pair have expanded their collaboration into touring together and have shared the stage on multiple tours, delivering electrifying performances that blend their theatrical stage presence and energetic rock music.
