Pixies & Modest Mouse at Germania Insurance Amphitheater on June 26

Following their sold-out run of shows in 2023, the Pixies and Modest Mouse will co-headline another tour together with special guest, Cat Power. The three acts will embark on their 2024 North American tour this May, and will stop in Austin, TX, on June 26^th. While in Austin, the bands will take the stage at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at 6 p.m.

The Pixies and Modest Mouse, both alternative rock bands, formed around the same pivotal time in the late 20^th century, as the alternative rock boom hit the West. Both bands grew their audiences respectively by drawing upon quirky and unconventional elements in their music. The Pixies developed their signature sound by experimenting with levels of dynamics in their songwriting, and incorporating elements of other genres such as punk-rock and surf-rock in their music. Similarly, Modest Mouse became an innovator in their genre by incorporating elements of punk-rock, slacker-rock, and early emo. Since their origins, both bands have respectively earned critical acclaim and amassed cult followings. As they each have accomplished over 30 years of experience in music, both bands are sure to captivate crowds on their co-headline tour.
