After over five decades together, the beloved rock band, the Eagles, are on their final trek across the U.S. while on The Long Goodbye tour. The tour, which began last September, will stop in Austin, TX, for two dates in February. The back-to-back shows in Austin will be held on February 2nd and 3rd at the Moody Center arena at 7:30 p.m.
Formed in 1971 in Los Angeles, the Eagles originated when Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner joined Linda Ronstadt’s band. Recognizing their potential, they decided to form their own band with Ronstadt’s support, and eventually secured a record deal. Their debut album garnered critical acclaim, and by 1975, they achieved the best-selling album in the U.S. with Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975). Through the band’s evolution, they have remained faithful to what makes them so unique. With their tight vocal harmonies, harmonious guitar melodies, and their ability to blur the lines between rock, blues, folk, and country music, the Eagles have become one of the most successful and influential acts of their time, and their music will be cherished for years to come.
