Night Club, a dark electronic pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, is scheduled to perform in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 20th. The band features vocalist Emily Kavanaugh and producer Mark Brooks. The duo joined forces in 2012 and created the soundtrack for the original series MoonBeam City. A year later, their debut studio album, Requiem For Romance, was released in 2016, with “Show It 2 Me” being streamed over 10 million times since its release and is currently their #1 song on Spotify. A fun fact for any Deadpool fans, Night Club’s song “Maximum Effort” was included in the movie’s compilation album, featuring more Deadpool Reloaded music.
Over a few years, Night Club has released their second and third studio albums, Scary World (2018) and Die Die Lullaby (2020). Most notably, Scary World became a hit on the iTunes Electronic Charts, debuting at #4 in the US, #8 in the UK and #11 in Sweden. In the same year, our magazine, MxDwn, awarded Night Club as the Best New Artist of 2018! The duo’s most recent releases are two singles titled “Crime Scene” and “Cities In Dust”. It is unclear whether “Cities In Dust” was specifically made for Spellbound – A Tribute To Siouxsie & The Banshees, but the single is featured on their 2023 compilation.
As Night Club continues to grow in the music industry and acquire more success, the chances of being able to see them in an intimate space like Kung Fu Necktie are becoming increasingly rare. The event begins at 7:30 pm, but doors open at 7:00 pm. Ticket prices are at least $20 and only individuals aged 21 and over are permitted to attend. We suggest arriving at the venue early to get in, feel the vibes and maybe even talk to the duo for a few moments. If attending, please be safe on your way to the venue and when you arrive make the most of your night with Night Club. There is no telling where the duo will be and the increasing amount of success they will achieve in years to come.
