For the past eighteen years, since 2006, Black Veil Brides, a rock band also known as BVB, was created in Cincinnati, Ohio. Notorious for their resemblance to KISS and other 1980s rock appearances, the group established a reputation based solely on their image. The band’s debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, released in 2010, was signed and distributed by StandBy Records. In the first week of its release, the album sold close to 100,000 copies, and they found themselves ranked at #1 on the Billboard Independent chart. Equally impressive, their music resonated with countless music lovers and allowed them to climb their way to #36 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. A few years later, in 2013, their fourth album, Black Veil Brides, surpassed their previous accomplishments, reaching #10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
In the years following, the band has had to make multiple adjustments to their lineup. Members like Sandra Alvarenga (drummer), who was replaced by Christina “CC” Coma were the first of many changes occurring from 2010 to 2019. The most recent adjustment happened in 2019, involving Ashley Purdy (bass player) leaving the band and being replaced by Lonny Eagleton who contributed to the creation of their EP, The Night. Unfortunately, the group’s latest album to date, The Phantom Tomorrow, was released by Sumerian Records in 2021. However, on April 25th of this year, the band will officially be on tour again. Their domestic U.S. tour, named “BLEEDERS” will last for thirty days, with almost a concert scheduled every single night!
To all the music lovers out there, who might be jumping out of their seats as they read this article, residing on the East Coast, particularly those closer to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Fillmore will host the group on Thursday, May 16th.
