American rapper and singer Danny Brown, born in Detroit, Michigan, has announced his 2024 tour for his new album, Quaranta. The 42-year-old artist has continued to have major success in the Industry ever since his debut studio album, The Hybrid: Cutting Room Floor (2010). At the beginning of his career, Brown was part of a music group called, Reser’vor Dogs. The group was created alongside two Detroit Rappers, Chip$ and Dopehead, but their only record was called, Runispokets-N-Dumpemindariva, released in 2003. Although the group never got back together, their project was enough to get noticed by Roc-A-Fella Label. The group was not signed to the record label. However, fortunately for Brown, his initial self-releases including Detroit State of Mind, a mixtape published in four different installments from 2007-2010 and Hot Soup (2008), were some of the artist’s projects that caught the attention of G-Unit Records, owned by 50 Cent himself.
In 2010, Brown went on tour with G-Unit for the summer, but the record label did not pursue any kind of deal afterward. It may have been disheartening at first, but a stroke of good fortune was lying ahead. Shortly after, in 2011, Fool’s Gold Records, a Brooklyn-based record label, signed Brown to his first record deal and the rest was history. As the years passed, Brown gained widespread popularity, helped by features on the covers of XXL Magazine (2012) and The Fader Magazine (2013). His fourteen years of stage performance, opening for high-tier artists, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Marlay Park, Dublin) and Eminem (Wembley Stadium, London) have truly prepared him for what may be his best performance yet.
The first track on the Quaranta album is titled “Quaranta”. It’s the second most popular track, after “Tantor” and has amassed close to 930,000 streams on Spotify. Brown’s tour will arrive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 13th. The concert will be held at Theatre Of Living Arts. Tickets are currently on sale! If attending, we recommend arriving as early as possible. Take some time to try one of Philadelphia’s famous Philly Cheesesteaks or find a nice restaurant to dine in because the event begins at 8 pm.
