Living Colour at Moody Theater on Feb. 19

Hard-rock band, Living Colour, will be joining Extreme while on the second leg of their Thicker Than Blood Tour. Living Colour announced their supporting involvement last September, and will kick off the 21-date tour in New Jersey on January 24th. While on tour, Living Colour will be stopping in Austin, TX, at Moody Theater on February 19th.

Living Colour, formed in New York City in 1984, has left an undeniable impact on the music world—especially as one of the few Black rock bands in mainstream music. After the release of their debut album, Vivid, in 1988, the group won a GRAMMY Award for their single, “Cult of Personality” and have continued to push musical boundaries with their innovative music style. By fusing together hard-rock with elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, and more, the group has given new life to the genre of rock music, especially in an age where rock music has become co-opted by white artists and white audiences, despite the genre originating from the Black community. With a career spanning four-decades, Living Colour remains a fiery force through their unwavering commitment to push both musical and social boundaries.
