Reggae artists and brothers Stephen and Damian Marley have announced a joint headlining tour across the US. The duo will be making a stop in San Francisco at The Masonic on February 21.
Stephen and Damien are both the sons of legendary reggae musician Bob Marley. Stephen got his start at age seven singing in family band, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers with his older siblings. As an adult, Stephen has served as producer on a number of Ziggy’s albums released a total of five studio albums on his own. His first three solo efforts won him Best Reggae Album at the Grammys. He has additional won two other Grammy Awards for his work with Ziggy. His most recent album, Old Soul, released in September.
Damian Marley also got his start at a young age, forming a group called the Shephards at age 13. The group fell apart in the early 1990s which lead to Marley starting a solo career. He has released a total of four solo studio albums and multiple collaborative albums, including 2010’s, Distant Relatives, with rapper, Nas. Marley has won a total of four Grammy Awards.
