Poolside’s “Blame It All On Love” Tour at Brooklyn Steel on Feb. 17

Poolside is a nu-disco and chillwave band from Los Angeles, California. They were formed in 2011 by Jeffrey Paradise and Filip Nikolic. Since 2017 Nikolic has departed from the band and Paradise has continued the act by himself with additional members for his live shows. Members from those shows have included Vito Roccoforte and Mattie Safer of The Rapture, Brijean Murphy of Toro y Moi, and Casey Butler of Pharaohs.

Poolside’s debut single, “Do You Believe,” was released in 2011 and was very well received by their peers. The album was praised by the British lifestyle magazine Dazed (and Confused) for its “pop-tinged disco, brimming with optimistic vocals and retro acid synths.” They are known for their specific version of disco, nu-disco. This sub-genre is referred to as “daytime disco,” recognized by having relaxed beats, high vocals, and smooth electronics.

Poolside embarks on their “Blame It All On Love” tour this upcoming January! They will be playing at Brooklyn Steel on February 17. Tickets are available now on their website at https://www.poolsidemusic.com/.
