Album Review: Atreyu – The Moment You Find Your Flame

Powerful serenades, electrifying instrumentation

Metalcore band Atreyu have been dazzling listeners’ minds with their music since 1998 and on August 18, 2023 the band will be releasing their new EP The Moment You Find Your Flame. This EP does not disappoint; all four tracks feature electrifying instrumentation that sizzles the atmosphere while the powerful vocal performances serenade listeners’ ears with intense delivery. The Moment You Find Your Flame shows how much Atreyu have grown as a band.

“Good Enough” starts things off with a bang! The expert-level guitar playing evokes a strong, infectious vibe of rock and metal. Each riff shakes the background with electrifying noise while the vocalist shares his strong emotions through the personal lyricism, successfully delivering a meaningful message of self confidence and empowerment.

“Immortal” is a killer composition that features thunderous drum playing that contributes to the musical intensity. Each drum beat creates a catchy rhythmic tone that makes the entire track an instant hit, leaving listeners’ with no other choice but to hit replay. “Immortal” also features skillful, soaring vocals that will have fans singing along in no time.

“Gone” is a tune that is filled with strong emotion thanks to the powerful vocal performance. Throughout the entire track, the feeling of remorse and despair can be felt through the singer’s intense wailing and screaming. Lyrically, “Gone” has to be one of the most relatable tracks on the EP, discussing themes of regret and self-realization.

“I Don’t Wanna Die” is the last track and as a whole, the instrumentation does a great job of creating a feeling of hope, leaving the EP off on a high note, as the vocalist laments about hanging onto life. Each guitar riff and drum beat on “I Don’t Wanna Die” contributes to a positive theme that can resonate with many listeners.

Overall, Atreyu hit a home run with The Moment You Find Your Flame. The band demonstrated how powerful creativity can be when exploring it through music.
