JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown just released an album together, so what better way to celebrate than a collaborated tour? JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown will be coming to Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on August 25th, 2023 in honor of their brand new album, Scaring The Hoes. The show includes opening act, Kenny Mason, to take the stage before the two rappers on the SCARING THE HOES tour. Tickets for the show are still available and it is bound to be an amazing performance.
Barrington Hendricks, better known as JPEGMAFIA, is a rapper, singer and record producer from Baltimore, Maryland. His parents are both Jamaican and Hendricks is proud to represent his culture within the rap industry. Hendricks spent his childhood in Flatbush, New York and moved to Alabama when he was 13. He experienced severe racism after his move, which has inspired his passion and drive for music and the lyrics that he writes. After learning how to sample at age 15, Hendricks began practicing music production. His passion for music has stayed with him his entire life. He has released 4 studio albums, including Black Ben Carson in 2016, Veteran in 2018, All My Heroes Are Cornballs in 2019 and LP! In 2021.
Daniel Sewell, or Daniel Brown, is also a rapper, singer and songwriter from Detroit, Michigan. Brown was exposed to music at an early age by his father. His father was a DJ and exposed his to ample amounts of music in his youth. Brown always knew he would be a rapper when he grew up, and in 2003, he made his dreams a reality. He started out by releasing several mixtapes and eventually working his way up to dropping his first studio album in 2010 titled, The Hybrid. His second album, XXX, was released in 2011 and gained him even more recognition within the rap community. His discography also includes Old, which was released in 2013 and reached number 18 on the Billboards 200s chart, Atrocity Exhibition in 2016, U Know What I’m Sayin? In 2019 and a new album coming out this year titled Quaratana.
Together JPEGMAFIA and Daniel Brown have been hinting at making an album together for quite a while. They announced that their collaborative album was officially finished on February 10th, 2023. The name of the album was announced on The Danny Brown Show on February 28th. Scaring The Hoes was officially released on March 24th, 2023!
