Resound is thrilled to present an exhilarating live performance by Horsegirl, the American rock band hailing from Chicago, Illinois. This talented trio is made up of Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein and Gigi Reece. The concert will be at The Parish Room on August 7, 2023, with special guest, Lifeguard!

Formed in 2019, Horsegirl’s musical journey took off with the self-release of their debut song, “Forecast.” The band quickly gained recognition and momentum, leading to their first EP, Horsegirl: Ballroom Dance Scene et cetera, released in 2020. This EP garnered praise from critics and was recognized as one of the top 25 EPs of 2020 by Paste.

In November 2021, Horsegirl released their captivating song, “Billy.” The track caught the attention of music enthusiasts, pop-punk and indie rock fans everywhere.  After “Billy,” the band’s much-anticipated debut album, Versions of Modern Performance, dropped on June 3, 2022, further solidifying their place in the indie rock music scene. The album showcased their versatility, lyricism and distinctive sound. Their next album just recently dropped on November, 22nd, 2023 titled, Rough Trade Super-Disc.
