Greta Van Fleet has announced a series of album listening parties in honor of their upcoming album Starcatcher. The rock band has teamed up with 180 independent record stores to host the listening parties in which fans will get to hear the new record in its entirety. Run Out Groove Records located in Burbank, California is set to host their listening party on Wednesday, July 19 at 6 p.m. and will offer limited special surprises.

Greta Van Fleet continues to surprise fans ahead of their third studio album Starcatcher, this time by partnering with hundreds of independent record labels across the country to host free listening parties before the record is officially released. Starcatcher is out Friday, July 21 and fans can gather at their local record store to listen to the album in full on Wednesday, July 19. Los Angeles fans can head to Burbank’s Run Out Groove Records for a chance to hear the record before its release and place a pre-order. The Run Out Groove Records is a small shop and will only allow the first 20 people inside, however, the store has stated that they will have outside speakers for those who are willing to hang out outside in the LA heat. Early entries will receive a special Greta Van Fleet slipmat and posters. The shop has advised fans to arrive early and lineup outside the store along Cordova Ave.

Michigan-based progressive rock band Greta Van Fleet is composed of brothers Jake, Sam and Josh Kiszka alongside fried Danny Wagner. The group’s debut single “Highway Tune” topped the charts four weeks in a row on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock and Active Rock in 2017 and earned the band their first Grammy nomination. In 2018, the band released their debut record Anthem of the Peaceful Army topping the charts once again. The Grammy-winning band has shocked the world with their immense talent and Josh’s powerful vocals, their style is often compared to rock legends Led Zeppelin. Greta Van Fleet pulls influences from classic ’70s rock while also creating their own unique sound and personas. The band will soon kick-off the Starcatcher World Tour which is set to run from July 24 through December 6 with special guests Kaleo, Surf Curse, Mt. Joy, and Black Honey.

No RSVP is necessary for the Starcatcher album listening party at Run Out Groove Records. The event is first-come-first-serve, especially with the limited goodies such as posters, slipmats and a chance to win two pairs of tickets for the upcoming Greta Van Fleet concert at the Kia Forum on Thursday, August 10. Keep in mind, this is an album listening party, not a show. To find other local record stores hosting this event visit here.
