A band that made the 2010’s memorable for everyone is venturing on a brand new tour and Austin, Texas is lucky enough to be a stop on the list! Neon Trees is coming to the Scoot Inn on September 20th! The Favorite Daze Tour will be starting off in San Francisco on September 15th and the band will be traveling to Austin shortly after. The tour is partly in celebration for their brand new single, “Favorite Daze,” that came out on June 30th of 2023!
Neon Trees formed in 2005 and made it big in 2008 when they opened up for The Killers on tour. Their first album, Habit, was released on March 16th, 2010, and was met with standing ovation. Habit includes the hit “Animal,” which peaked at Number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Alternative Songs chart. The song also won Top Alternative Song at the Billboard Music Awards in 2011! Their second studio album, Picture Show, was released on April 17th, 2012 and includes the song “Everybody Talks” which reached mainstream success. Their third album, Pop Psychology, was released two years later on April 22nd, 2014. “Sleeping With a Friend” is the most popular song on this album and is enjoyed by many, not just die hard Neon Trees fans.
Neon Trees’ music can be described as pop rock, synth-pop, alternative rock and many other similar genres. The band members include Tyler Glenn on lead vocals, keyboards, piano and synthesizer, Chris Allen on rhythm and lead guitar and backing vocals, Branden Campbell on bass guitar and backing vocals and Elaine Bradley on drums, percussion, backing vocals and occasionally performs a solo or two in many of the Neon Trees songs.
In more recent news, Neon Trees released their most recent album, I Can Feel You Forgetting Me, was released on July 24th of 2020 after many successful singles. “Used to Like,” “New Best Friend,” “Mess Me Up” and “Night” had fans excited for the album months in advance.
