Dance Gavin Dance is coming to Austin, Texas as a part of their Jackpot Juicer ‘23 Tour on September 5th! The band is going on tour to celebrate their most recent album, Jackpot Juicer that was released on July 29th, 2022. SiM, Rain City Drive and Within Destruction are embarking on this tour with Dance Gavin Dance and will be spectacular opening acts!
Dance Gavin Dance was formed in 2005 in Sacramento, California and have always been hard to pinpoint their exact musical style. The band ventures in genres such as screamo, punk rock and a little bit of emo rock on the side. The band consists of vocalist Tilian Pearson, vocalist Jon Mess, lead guitarist Will Swan, drummer Matt Mingus, Andrew Wells on rhythm guitar and backing vocals and honorary past member, Tim Feerick, who sadly passed away just after the release of their most recent album. Jackpot Juicer has become an honorary celebration of the talent that was Tim Feerick and everything he brought to this beloved band.
Dance Gavin Dance has an incredible discography of 10 albums. Their first album, Downtown Battle Mountain, came out in 2007 and had the public dying for more. Fans loved their rock sound and the vocals the songs included. The band also has instrumental versions of most of their albums! Their second album, Dance Gavin Dance, came out in 2008 and their third album, Happiness, came out in 2009. Within the next decade, they released 6 more albums titled Downtown Battle Mountain II, Acceptance Speech, Instant Gratification, Mothership, Artificial Selection and Afterburn.
This tour is dedicated to Jackpot Juicer, their 10th album. It is a hard rock album and includes hit songs, “Cream Of The Crop,” “Feels Bad Man” and “Synergy.” Don’t miss your chance to see this iconic rock band and celebrate the life of an amazing bassist.
