The iconic Doja Cat is embarking on a brand new 2023 tour! Doja Cat will be hitting the Moody Center stage for her “The Scarlet Tour” on November 13th. Her opening act is the “What It Is” singer, Doechii. With a brand new single and a new album potentially on the way, it’s guaranteed to be a great show!
Doja Cat is a rapper, singer and writer from Los Angeles. Similar to many budding rappers, Doja Cat got her start by releasing music on SoundCloud. Her debut album, Amala, was released in 2018 and includes her hit song, “Juicy.” Although an incredible album, Amala did not put Doja Cat on the map like it should’ve. Doja’s song “MOOO!” reached viral success through Tik Tok. Using this momentum, she released her smashing second album, Hot Pink, on November 8th of 2019. This album skyrocketed to the top of the charts. It reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200s chart and many singles played on the radio. Some of the most iconic songs off of Hot Pink are “Say So,” “Streets” and “Rules.” This album truly changed the trajectory of Doja Cat’s career.
Her next album, Planet Her, was released on June 27th, 2021 and was also met with incredible success. The album spent three weeks at number 2 on the Billboard 200’s chart and is filled with chart topping songs. Planet Her has songs “Kiss Me More” with SZA, “Get Into It (Yuh)” and “Woman.” A lot of Doja Cat’s songs went viral on Tik Tok in her earlier days, but she hopes her new music will show her artistry a little differently.

The song has already received great reviews and has fans excited for more music to come. She has said that her next album will be more rap and less pop than her previous albums.
