Born and bred in NYC, Action Bronson hasn’t forgotten his roots. The multitalented rapper who loves to showcase and show out for his city is performing at The Rockaway Hotel on July 2nd.
Action Bronson was born in Queens and immediately was connected to his roots in the city that birthed Hip Hop. In 2011 he debuted with his mixtape Bon Appetit…Bitch!!! Followed by his self released first album Dr. Lecter.
Off of the success of his self-publicated music, Bronson signed a record deal and kicked his music career into high gear. He’s collaborated with some of the biggest musicians in the industry, and has always been proud to showcase his love for New York City.
Famously, Bronson is one of many artists featured on the Asap Rocky song “1 train” an anthem that’s about more than just the West Side’s local subway.
Bronson goes beyond music, he’s an actor who has appeared in movies such as Pete Davidson and Judd Apatow’s comedy “The King of Staten Island.” Bronson has also hosted his own series, including “The Untitled Action Bronson Show” a talk/variety show and currently he still hosts a travel and food show on Viceland called “Fuck That’s Delicious.”
Bronson is proud to showcase the cultural diversity of New York City, especially through its food, highlighting the parts of New York that tourism books may not show, including his home borough of Brooklyn.
Now, as the first US stop of Bronson’s summer tour, he’s paying homage to his home borough, hosting his concert at The Rockaway Hotel in Queens. While it may seem like a trek from Manhattan the event is at a unique venue in an often underrepresented part of the city.
