Ghost is coming to Austin, Texas for their Re-Imperatour on September 3rd! The heavy metal rock band will be hitting the Germania Insurance Amphitheater stage with special guest Amon Amarth. This tour is in support of the release of their 5th studio album. The live music starts at 7:30 pm sharp and tickets are still available!
Ghost is a heavy metal rock band formed in 2006 in Sweden. The band is known for their immaculate and shocking performances. The main singer, Tobias Forge, performed under a persona of a pope-like figure named “Papa Emeritus.” Most of the other performing members wear identical, face covering costumes and call themselves “Nameless Ghouls.”
The band’s discography includes 5 albums, with their newest album coming out a little over a year ago. Their first album, Opus Eponymous, was released on October 18th, 2010 and includes the hit song “Ritual.” Next came their second album, Infestissumam, which was released on April 10th, 2013. Their third album, Meliora, came out on August 20th of 2015. One of their most iconic albums, Prequelle, came out on June 1st in 2018. The album has some of their most listened to songs, including “Rats” and “Dance Macabre.”
This tour is dedicated to their brand new album, Impera. Impera was released on March 11th, 2022 to great reviews from rock fans around the world. More recently, exactly one month ago, Ghost released a 5 song EP titled, Phantomime. With so much new music recently released and an incredible stage presence, this is one show that metal fans do not want to miss. Tickets are available through the venues website and ticketmaster.com.
