The timeless duo, Aly & AJ, are performing in Austin, Texas on September 16th! The duo will be performing at the Moody Theater. The last time Aly & AJ were in Austin was when they were performing at Austin City Limits for the very first time in 2022. The two sisters have recently put out new music this year and fans are elated to hear it live!
From 2004 to 2008, Aly & AJ made a stellar music career for themselves, while also becoming popular faces within the Disney community. They released 3 successful albums within these 4 years and made their marks in the billboard charts. Their first album, Into the Rush, was released on August 16th, 2005. Their second album was a Christmas album titled Acoustic Hearts of Winter that was released on September 26th of 2006. The album debuted at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their 3rd album, Insomniatic, was released on July 10th, 2007 and became their most popular album in this time period. It reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and includes their hit song, “Potential Breakup Song.” The song became their first top 20 single in the U.S. and it went certified Platinum by the RIAA when it surpassed 1 million copies sold!
In 2017, the duo changed up their tune and image and matured their sound to their likings as they grew older. They started to stray away from pop sound and focused more on indie pop, pop rock, and alternative pop. They released the album, 10 Years (Deluxe), on November 30th, 2018. In 2021, the duo released an alternative album, A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun, on May 7th. The album was met with critical acclaim and the public was excited with Aly & AJ’s new look and sound. Just this year, on March 15th, Aly & AJ released their newest album, With Love From. It’s an album that alludes to their travels and the adventures they’ve been on. It is filled with passion and emotion that the two feel for their lives and their fans. The two have truly reclaimed themselves and their artistry within just a few years.
