Texas locals, Crown The Empire, are coming to Austin, Texas! The band will be taking the stage at Come and Take It Live next month, on July 21st. After playing in Amarillo, the band will come to Austin for their last stop of the summer leg of the tour! Tickets are still available now!
The hard rock band got their start in 2010 in Dallas, Texas when member Brandon Hoover and former member Austin Duncan started playing music together while attending the same high school in Colleyville, Texas. They got to perform their first gig at a local church in Colleyville on July 10th, 2010. The current band lineup consists of Hoover as lead guitarist, Andrew Rockhold as the vocalist, Hayden Tree on the bass and Jeeves Avalos on the drums.
Crown The Empire mainly explores genres such as metalcore, post-hardcore, progressive rock and hard rock. Their discography includes 7 studio albums. Their first album as a band, Limitless, was released on November 29th, 2011. It has 7 songs, including the popular song, “Johnny Ringo.” Their next album came out almost exactly a year later on November 19th, 2012. The album is titled The Fallout and was significantly longer than their first. The deluxe edition includes 18 songs, including all the songs featured on Limitless and hit songs “Memories of a Broken Heart” and “Makeshift Chemistry.” Their third album, The Resistance, is a hard rock album and was released on October 30th of 2015 after a short break.
Their album art and style changed slightly with the release of their 4th album, Retrograde. Released in 2016, this album is the first album cover that included bright coloring. The album received positive reviews from the public. Next, they released Sudden Sky, which may be their most successful album to date. The single “BLURRY (out of place)” is one of their most streamed songs! The album was released on July 19th, 2019. Their 6th album, 07102010, is a completely acoustic album of fan favorite songs from the band. On April 28th of this year, Crown The Empire dropped a brand new album with 10 new songs titled DOGMA. DOGMA is a hard rock album and includes hit songs “Black Sheep” and “Superstar.”
