Photo Review: Re:SET Day One feat. Steve Lacy, James Blake, Toro y Moi, Fousheé

Goldenvoice’s Re:SET concert series took place in Los Angeles, CA from June 2 to June 4, offering a refreshing revamp on the usual expectations for a festival experience. Taking place across the country for the entirety of the month, the festival consists of a singular stage across three days, allowing audience members to be in attendance for every artist on the bill. This allowed concertgoers more time to be spent in the moment without having to anticipate racing across the field to make it in time for the next set. With such an ideal venue like the Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, this event became an instant staple for music lovers across the country. Day one’s bill included Steve Lacy, James Blake, Toro y Moi and Fousheé.

The evening ended with California’s very own Steve Lacy, a Grammy-winning fan favorite and viral sensation. Die hard fans were glued to the barricade from the start of the day, eager to see him hit the stage. Upon first glance, his iconic style made it impossible to look away from the entirety of his set, which included everything from chart topping hits like “Bad Habit” and “Dark Red,” to Connan Mockasin’s “I’m the Man, That Will Find You.”
