Ice Nine Kills are embarking on a headlining summer tour this August with the Fear The Premiere Tour. The band will be accompanied by special guests Set It Off, The Plot In You and Mike’s Dead on Tuesday, August 29 at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium.
The Boston-based heavy metal band are set to perform 16 shows on their North American tour hitting cities across the U.S. and Canada. The band will be accompanied by special guests August Burns Red, Set It Off, Veil Of Maya, The Plot In You, and Mike’s Dead on selected dates. During the summer tour Ice Nine Kills will also support Metallica and Lamb of God on their tours with dates in Los Angeles, CA and Corpus Christi, TX. The tour starts on August 6 at East Rutherford, NJ and concludes on September 3 at Phoenix, AZ.
The tour follows Ice Nine Kills’ European tour which sold out majority of the shows from Denmark, to Norway, to England, Germany and more. Aside from their nonstop touring, the band has kept busy promoting their sixth studio album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood and a novel inspired by their fifth studio album with the same name The Silver Scream. The novel pays homage to some of the greatest horror film classics of the last forty years, blending horror fan fiction and Ice Nine Kills’ style of storytelling into a unique concept. The Silver Scream exposes the most gruesome, true-crime tragedy exploring the mind of a rock star turned cinema-copycat murderer, Spencer Charnas. The Silver Scream is set to be published August 2023 in hardcover and e-book worldwide, with a limited-edition vinyl audiobook featuring Candyman himself Tony Todd.
Ice Nine Kills formed in 2000 by Charnas and high school friend Jeremy Scwartz with the name Ice Nine, inspired by the novel Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. The band changed their name to Ice Nine Kills right before releasing their debut independent album Last Chance to Make Amends in 2006. The horror-themed metalcore band have released several songs inspired by horror films such as Child’s Play, Resident Evil, Pet Sematary, and more. Their live performances often include loads of fake blood, costumes, knifes and more horror-themed props.
