The View Apologizes for ‘Brotherly Bust-Up’ After Comeback Gig Canceled

Their first comeback show was supposed to go well but ended in a fight occurring between two members of ‘The View’. The View is a Scottish indie rock group according to All Music Magazine, a group that has been on hiatus for a while being 5 years approximately. The group had their comeback show in Manchester, England, at the Deaf Institute. The show was supposed to be great for both the group and the fans alike, but, alas things led to a “conflict” between two members.

With their appearance at the Deaf Institute in Manchester, they are planning to bring out a new album that would come out in August called “Exorcism of Youth”. From that many more things the View plans in appearing in summer festivals, showing the hard work they worked on for some time, and the music their fans would come to enjoy. But that night in Manchester, the one that caused chaos to erupt would be the frontman of the band, Kyle Falconer. He was the one that punched the bassist of the band, Kieren Webster. As shown in fan footage of that night it is shown in the video as Falconer punches Webster, then being held by the others on the stage. Falconer is heard in the video yelling “I’ll fucking kill you”.

The Band would end up making a statement in regard to what occurred in Manchester on May 12, 2023. A Twitter post in which they stated they are sorry to their fans for what happened on stage. Stated in the view official account that “We had a brotherly bust-up”. Also mentioned in the tweet is that they “cannot wait to go back to touring” in November. From that tweet ‘The View’ made even though of what occurred in Manchester they still plan to tour, as well as attend festivals, however, they canceled their show at Oslo Hackney.

Diana Bello: I am a student at California State University Channel Islands(CSUCI) who is about to graduate next year with a degree in Psychology, and a minor in English Creative Writing. I want to later on by next year or so to go to graduate school to get my master's in social work or as a art therapist. Writing is something I still wish to pursue and keep doing. From above comes to show how determined I am on the goals I set in order to get my education, and to as well do what I love.
