The National is hitting the Moody Center Stage on November 17th!

Music enthusiasts in Austin, Texas, are in for a treat as indie rock favorites, The National, gear up to grace the stage at the renowned Moody Center on November 17th. They formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1999. The National’s have established themselves as one of the most influential and critically acclaimed bands of the indie rock genre. The band consists of Matt Berninger on vocals, Aaron Dessner on guitar and piano, Bryce Dessner also on guitar, Scott Devendorf on bass and Bryan Devendorf on the drums. Their first album was released on October 30th of 2001 and sparked national attention for the band. It showcased their unique sound in every aspect and the single, “Beautiful Head,” started the album right where they needed it to. 2 years later they would release their second album on September 2nd, 2003, titled Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers. Since then, they have released 9 total studio albums within their discography with an album that came out only 2 weeks ago.

On August 22nd, 2022, The National released their first single in 3 years titled “Weird Goodbyes.” This single got the ball rolling and in January 2023, they announced their 9th album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein. Fans prepared for the best as the band hyped up the release. It eventually came out on April 28th, 2023. It is an alternative style album with 11 tracks that blow a listener away. The album has songs that feature well known artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Phoebe Bridgers and pop icon Taylor Swift, who they have previously done features with before.
