Decisive Pink Shares 6-Minute New Video for New Song “Dopamine”

According to stereogum.com last year art-pop’s Kate NV and Angel Deradoorian announced they have formed a musical duo called Decisive Pink and next month, the duo will be releasing their debut album Ticket To Fame, which will be released on June 9 by Fire Records.

Previously Decisive Pink have shared the tracks “Haffmilch Holiday,” “Destiny” and “Ode To Boy.” But today the duo have  shared their newest composition “Dopamine.”

“Dopamine” is a six-minute piece of art-funk about the emptiness of consumerism and while  listening, NV and Deradoorian chant the names of products with sarcastic glee while the instrumentation brings the elements of strong funk music.

In the music video director JJ Stratford films both ladies in theatrical makeup while they are working  in a warehouse full of boxes. The song and music video for “Dopamine” brings back some of the prettiest post-funk of the late ’70s and early ’80s. Also the tune gives listeners another sample of what Decisive Pink’s music will sound like on their upcoming album Ticket To Fame.
