City and Colour at Franklin Music Hall on May 15th

Alternative artist City and Colour will be playing at Franklin Music Hall on Monday, May 15th with special guest Courtney Marie Andrews.

Dallas Michael John Albert Green, under the moniker City and Colour, began his solo career while contributing to post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. Green was named after the Phillies’ manager Dallas Green. The band name came from his own name: Dallas, a city, and Green, a colour.

His first full-length debut Sometimes was released in 2005 and won the 2007 Juno award for Alternative Album of the year. They began touring in 2008, supporting their second album Bring Me Your Love. Their single “Fragile Bird” reached number 1 on the Canadian rock/alternative chart. In 2011, Green left Alexisonfire to focus on City and Colour. He collaborated with Pink! releasing an album titled Rose Ave, debuting number one on Canadian Albums Chart and number four on the Billboard 200. Green went on to open for Alice in Chains’ Canada tour. City and Colour released their new album The Love Still Held Me Near on March 31st, 2023.
