On March 10th 2023, MTV VMA award winner, Logic, announced that tickets for his brand new
2023 tour, “College Park Tour,” have officially hit the market. In celebration of his newest
album released on February 24th, “College Park,” Logic will be taking the stage with special
guest, Juicy J, in this exciting North American tour. College Park is Logic’s first album released as an independent artist after leaving Def Jam after 10 years.
College Park is a city in Maryland that Logic has a deep, personal connection with. In a SiriusXM podcast interview, Logic states that College Park is the place he went when he didn’t know where else to turn. In a state of homelessness, his friend, Lenny, let him sleep on his couch. From that point forward, his music took off locally. He explains that the album acts as a story of him and a few of his close friends on a road trip from College Park to Washington D.C. to attend an open mic night back in 2011. He admits that this album is one that he has felt the most comfortable and creative with due to his newly found freedom as the owner of his masters.
In a video titled, “A Taste of What to Expect From Tour…” on his YouTube channel released on February 26th, he shows a preview of a lively crowd, on the spot freestyling, and personal interactions with fans in the crowd. He has also posted short, animated excerpts from the album that act out scenes of him and his friends’ adventures that are spoken of in the album. With an album that is so close to his heart, this tour is not one to miss.
Logic has won 2 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Fight Against the System with song “Black SpiderMan” and Most Performed R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with song “Sucker for Pain.” He has also won a BMI Pop Award for Award Winning Song for his world famous classic song, “1-800-273-8255,” which is the suicide hotline number.
