The Weeknd Releases Music Video for “Double Fantasy” Featuring Future with Clips From HBO Show ‘The Idols’

The Weeknd has released a new single “Double Fantasy” featuring the artist Future. This single is the first song released from The Weeknd’s upcoming HBO Original Series The Idol, which is produced by himself and Mike Dean, and co-produced by Metro Boomin. The song was also released alongside a music video, which can be viewed directly below.

The video and the lyrics are very sexualized. The song describes the singer’s relationship with a girl, and how he wants to help her, but knows that he’s wrong for her. The song’s lyrics include sexual innuendos throughout, and the video contains a lot of sexual/sensual scenes between the singer and the character’s girlfriend. The song is danceable yet chill.

The Idol is co-created by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Sam Levinson (HBO’s Euphoria) and Reza Fahim. It stars Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp. The Idol will premiere this year at the annual Festival De Cannes in France, and is set to debut on Sunday, June 4 at 9:00pm ET/PT. The series will be aired on HBO and be streamable on Crave in Canada.
