Sad Summer Festival w/ Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, PVRIS & More Coming to SoCal

Sad Summer Festival previously announced their 2023 tour hitting 16 cities across the United States. The tour includes a final stop at Irvine, CA’s FivePoint Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 29.

Presented by Journeys and Converse, the festival kicks off in Jacksonville, FL on July 6 and concludes July 29 in Irvine, CA. This year’s lineup includes Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, PVRIS, Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans, and Stand Atlantic. Special guests Andrew McMahone, Head Automatica, L.S. Dunes, Motion City Soundtrack, Cliffdiver, Daisy Grenade, and Sincere Engineer, who will join the lineup on selected dates. Andrew McMahon will join Sad Summer Fest at the final show in Irvine, CA.

This year’s Sad Summer Fest will be headlined by emo-veterans Taking Back Sunday. The rock band which formed in 1999, has remained in the scene for over 20 years. The pop-punk group is best recognized for their hit songs “Cute Without the ‘E’,” “Liar” and “A Decade Under The Influence.”

PVRIS is a genre-bending act formed by vocalist Lynn Gunn. With three critically acclaimed studio LPs PVRIS inspires their audience to explore and embrace their personal identities. Following PVRIS’ 2014 debut White Noise, she earned massive commercial success and landed on Billboard‘s alternative charts. In May PVRIS will head to the UK for The Slam Dunk Festival and in July she joins the Sad Summer Festival.
