DJ Cassidy Announces Drop The Mic Live! – Hip-Hop 50th Anniversary Show Lineup Featuring Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and More

According to brooklynvegan.com today DJ Cassidy announced Pass the Mic Live! – Hip Hop 50 Anniversary Celebration  is scheduled for July 21 at Radio City Music Hall. The concert will feature Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Rakim and Slick Rick.

Also performing will be  Black Sheep, CL Smooth, Brand Nubian, The Sugarhill Gang, Nice ‘N Smooth, MC Shan, Kurtis Blow, EPMD, Kid ‘N Play, Onyx, Monie Love, Third Bass’ MC Serch and more.

Also the event is in partnership with the Black Promoter’s Collective and Martell Cognac, who will welcome several surprise guest performances.

According to thegrio.com Cassidy  expresses his happiness about Pass the Mic Live! – Hip Hop 50 Anniversary Celebration.

“Uniting twenty-five native New York icons of Hip Hop’s Golden Age on one stage on one night, in the birthplace of Hip Hop, also my hometown, in the most esteemed concert venue in the country, will be the greatest honor of my life. I am truly honored to be celebrating these definitive artists and their profound impact on the culture, days from the 50th birthday of Hip Hop, minutes away from where Kool Herc deejayed the first Hip Hop party in 1973.”

Tickets for Pass the Mic Live! –  Hip Hop 50 Anniversary Celebration will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com
