Madball, Murphy’s Law, Crown of Thornz are going to be at Tompkins Square Park on April 29th, 2023.
Madball is an American hardcore punk band that was formed in New York City in 1988 by Freddy Cricien, the younger brother of Agnostic Front’s frontman Roger Miret. The band’s music style is characterized by fast-paced, aggressive hardcore punk with elements of metal and hip hop, as well as lyrics that address social and political issues. Madball has released several studio albums to date which have all been well-received by fans of hardcore punk and metal. The band has toured extensively throughout the world, playing at festivals such as Hellfest, Persistence Tour, and Rebellion Festival, and sharing the stage with other punk and metal bands like Hatebreed, Suicidal Tendencies, and Sepultura. Madball has been influential in the hardcore punk and metal scenes, inspiring many younger bands with their raw energy and passionate performances. The band is known for their intense live shows, with Freddy Cricien’s commanding stage presence and the band’s tight musicianship drawing in fans of all ages and backgrounds.
The show is free to attend, and there’s a GoFundMe to cover expenses and to raise money for Ray’s Candy Store, whose elderly owner was assaulted earlier this year.
