Pickathon returns to Pendarvis Farm outside of Portland this August 3-6, with one of the most intriguing and versatile lineups of the festival season. Powerhouse Watchhouse (fka Mandolin Orange), soul icon Lee Fields, indie-folk artist Madison Cunningham, Zambian psych rockers W.I.T.C.H and many more will be performing. Aside from these names, the Pickathon 2023 lineup is packed with unexpected deep cuts, and rising artists across the world, as it embodies a festival known for curation and highlighting the next standout bands in all genres.
Pickathon is known for being a zero-waste, sustainability-focused festival and always has a unique lineup that includes international artists and ranges from soul to hip-hop to jazz to indie rock to electronic. They’ve got rising indie band Wednesday, country artist Courtney Marie Andrews, hip-hop duo They Hate Change, Canadian rapper TOBi, Malian musician Vieux Farka Touré, and Venezuelan/Appalachian folk duo Larry & Joe all on the bill this year. In addition to the live shows fans and attendees will also get to experience body and wellness, comedy, visual art, literature, and family programming. As always, the event is focused on staying green, so bring your own water bottle and dishware is encouraged.
