Ella Mai at Franklin Music Hall on April 3rd

R&B singer Ella Mai will be playing on Monday, April 3rd at Franklin Music Hall with special guest Thuy.

Mai began at London’s British and Irish Modern Music Institute and auditioned on The X Factor. Her music got discovered on SoundCloud and she released her self-titled debut studio album featuring “Boo’d Up” and “Trip”. The singer gained international recognition with “Boo’d Up” winning a Grammy for Best R&B Song and Mai winning three Billboard Music Awards. The singer names her influences as ’90s R&B heartthrobs like Lauryn Hill, Chris Brown, Brandy, Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey.
