The Rock Resurrection tour featuring co-headliners Skillet, Theory of a Deadman and supported by Saint Asonia made its stop at The Factory in Deep Ellum, Texas! From the get-go the venue was packed and the crowd was brewing with excitement.
First to hit the stage was Saint Asonia, the set was killer and featured all their popular songs. Along with that, lead singer Adam Gontier even did some callback songs from his old band Three Days Grace, the crowd went wild to hear those classics again!
After a short break and stage reset the next band was up, which was the Christian rock sensation Skillet! The set started off strong with “Feel Invincible” and the crowd went wild! Half way through the set the lead singer John Cooper took a moment to thank everyone for coming out. He gave a short speech about how “music brings us all together, no matter the color of your skin or where you come from.” He even made a point to announce someone in the crowd came all the way from Cuba to see them, a young boy saying it was his first concert! Ending the speech with thanking everyone again and mostly thanking his hero (Jesus) and diving right into the song “Hero.”
Skillet killed their set and never missed a beat, the song choices spanned from classics to recent releases as well. Overall, an amazing set.
Last but not least, the next co-headlines Theory of a Deadman, made their way to the stage with “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond, ringing them in! Which was a fun way to have them come to the stage because the crowd was all ready to go. They played their top charters as well and had a great, and fun set!
Overall the Rock Resurrection tour has an amazing group of artists coming together! It was an incredible show that you need to see!
