Def Leppard at The Hard Rock on Mar. 12th

Def Leppard is a British rock band that formed in 1977. Their original lineup consisted of Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Savage (guitar), Steve Clark (guitar), Rick Allen (bass guitar) and Vivian Campbell (drums). Their sound combines elements of heavy metal and hard rock with pop-rock melodies, which has influenced many other bands to create similar song structures. At the height of their career, Def Leppard were known for their arena-oriented hits such as Photograph, Rocket (I’m Coming) and Pour Some Sugar On Me; however, they still continue to produce new material as well as touring internationally.

They achieved their first international success with the 1983 album High ‘N’ Dry and have been recognised as one of the most successful hard rock bands of all time, selling over 100 million records worldwide. They’ve been nominated for numerous awards including seven number-one singles and ten Grammy nominations. They have also won four BRIT Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, seven NME Awards, three American Music Awards and an MTV Europe Music Award.

Melanie Stewart: Hi! My name is Melanie and I am a music business/management student at Berklee College of Music. As a young child, I began vocal training and continued up until my second year of college. My experience in music has lead me to many opportunities including performing at local clubs/cafes, joining a band, and writing my own music amongst other things. Outside of music, I have a passion for business and design. I have been able to create my own business as well as co-design a website for a peer project to be used for their company. I hope to perfect my skill and further my education.
