Clipse to reunite at this year’s Hyde Park Summer Festival!

More news for this year’s Hyde Park Summer Fest is here! The annual festival in Hyde Park got lineup announcements this week. So far the lineup for  Hyde Park Summer Fest is Clipse, 2 Chainz, Tobe Nwigwe, Robert Glasper, Uncle Waffles, Twista, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Shawnna, Vic Mensa, and more to come. The two day festival is happening on June 17th and 18th of 2023. 

 

According to the Hyde Park website, the festival was a celebration that brought together hip-hop artists and house DJs from the place where the genre was born. It’s a place of real Chicago pride that recognizes the Windy City’s culture and identity. Local businesses and restaurants will have tents at the event. 

 

The 2023 Hyde Park Summer Fest features the reunion of hip-hop duo Clipse. The Virginian hip-hop duo consists of brothers known as No Malice and Pusha T. Clipse are known for their tracks such as “When the Last Time” and “Grindin’”. They haven’t released music since their 2009 release Til The Casket Drops. Since then they’ve appeared on Kanye West’s “Use This Gospel” with Kenny G. The brothers will share a stage again after their hiatus at the festival. 

 

The festival also features artists like 2 Chainz, who has released projects such as Based On A T.R.U. Story and has contributed to Black PantherThe Album Music From And Inspired By. 2 Chainz will join other talented hip-hop artists to celebrate Chicago and the music scene that continues to define generations.
